The state commission must realize that their laws and requirements need to be reevaluated. The Lottery Commission Director and staff, and Boyd must understand that although they are the 'only game in town', located on a major interstate, attracting many one time visitors passing through, their 'bread and butter' is their local/area clients/players. Yes, I frequent the Kansas Star Casino as it is close and family and friends visiting want to go, but after their experience, they inform me they prefer the drive to Oklahoma. I am finding that the drive to the Oklahoma border, the time spent playing, and the amount of money I bring home pays off. It then becomes clear that the better paying machines in the region are in Oklahoma. The machines at Kansas Star do not allow you to play for an hour (closer to 30 mins). As with other comments, not everyone expects to win a jackpot during each visit but they at least want to spend a few hours enjoying themselves. Kansas requires one of the lowest payout percentages in the country at 87% I'm sure their mindset is that if people continue to gamble they must not be bothered by the payout. The State of Kansas lottery commission and Boyd Gaming needs to rethink their slot game payout percentages.
